First Fair

Today Xavier went to his first fair. He was in his stroller and covered up from the sun most the time. I have learned he does NOT like the tractor noises coming from the tractor pull. Neither does he like to stay still when he's in his stroller, he HAS to be moving, so it was hard to get good pictures with Aaron pushing him around. However I did get this one picture before we left.

Lastest pictures

He's so curious
Reaching for the camera.

For some reason I love this picture
of Xavier reaching out trying to grab Uncle Austin's hand.

Hey everyone look what I learned to do... Smile!!!
He has somehow managed to learn to text. This is the picture
that popped up on my phone with the message "Will you
babysit me?" How can I say no to that face?

It almost looks like he's laughing.

He seems to be up to something. Hmm.
Perhaps plotting to keep mom and dad awake all night?

A nice visit....

I went over to Aaron and Chris's to visit, and I was offered a chance to babysit.
They had to go into town for a bit and so they asked if I would mind babysitting. ARE YOU KIDDING??? ME? MIND??? Of course I didn't mind.
He is such a good baby. He rarely cries, but the thing that scared me is that it seems like he stops breathing in his sleep, and then he starts up again. I got used to it, and I would gently poke or pat him till he squirms or he starts breathing again.

In the 2 1/2-3 hours they were gone I had the chance to bond with my adorable nephew.

Ashley don't worry, Aaron told Xavier..... "I'm sorry your mean aunt had to watch you, but don't worry your NICE aunt will be here this weekend."

We Welcome The Child

It has been said that the child is the meaning of this life. Today we celebrate the child, this new life that is brought into our world...

We welcome the child with love
So he may be able to learn to love.

We welcome the child with generosity
So he may be able to learn to give.

We welcome the child with singing
So he may always have a song in his heart.

We welcome the child with happiness
So he may be able to see the good in everything.

We welcome the child with laughter
So he may be able to learn to laugh at his mistakes.

We welcome the child with joy
So he may be able to see the beauty all around him.

We welcome the child with patience
So he may be able to learn to be compassionate

We welcome the child with courage
So he may be able to stand up for what is right.

And we welcome the child with a name......
